Dissatisfied

I guess I haven't really enjoyed a book since the last two months. I read this somewhere: "When was the last goo book you read?" My answer to this would be Stones of Fire. Then on, most books have been average or not as fulfilling as I expected them to be.
There are various of books on my shelf I want to read, but yet not doing so most of them would involve catching up on the previous story, so that my memory in that context is refreshed and I can fairly judge the story.
I want to feel attached to the books I read. I want the plots to be as immersible as possible, and I want to care for the characters and want to lose myself in the story.
The book worm is calm. At least till then.

  1. I like reading such books too Rohit. i mean, i dont really like a story until and unless i feel connected with it and it TOUCHES my heart. and its been the same recently with me. i tried a few new books and was so damn dissatisfied that i had to take a grudging break till the exams end :P
and i felt like suggesting Khaled Hosseini to you. ever read him? He's FAB. read his two books if you can. you wont be dissatisfied.

    1. First of all, thanks for visiting the blog. At least secretly relieved to find that this occurs to other bookworms too. Oh thanks, I'd definitely try and read the author you have mentioned. A quick search tells me book I should go for is Kite Runner. Thanks a lot for the feedback!

  2. Khaled Hosseini is a good choice. I cared very much about the characters in "Kite Runner" and "A Thousand Splendid Suns." Are there any particular genre's that you like to read?
